Job DescriptionAn established, design-led architectural practice is seeking a talented Technical Architect to join its growing team. Working across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality work within a collaborative studio environment.
The RoleAs a Technical Architect, you will play a key role in the technical design and delivery of projects across multiple sectors and RIBA Plan of Work stages. You will be responsible for producing technically robust,pliant and well-coordinated design information, working closely with internal teams, consultants and contractors to ensure successful project oues. This role offers exposure from design development through to site delivery, making it well suited to someone who enjoys technical problem-solving and seeing projects through topletion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and contribute to technically informed design development across RIBA Stages 2–5
2. Produce and coordinate detailed construction drawings and specifications
3. Ensurepliance with UK Building Regulations, planning policy and relevant legislation
4. Coordinate information with external consultants and specialist subcontractors
5. Review contractor technical submissions and respond to site queries
6. Attend site inspections, design team meetings and client meetings
7. Support project delivery to agreed programmes and budgets
About YouYou will be a technically strong professional with experience delivering UK-based projects and a proactive, collaborative approach.Essential Requirements
8. ARB-registered Architect or experienced Architectural Technologist
9. Strong technical detailing experience on UK projects
10. Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy
11. Experience working on residential andmercial developments
12. Solid understanding of current construction methods and materials
13. Experience producing tender and construction-stage packages
14. Confident liaising with contractors and consultants
15. Team-focused mindset with strongmunication skills
