Associate Director
Role Purpose
The Associate Director role will undertake valuations, support the team lead with team management, business development and reporting on key affordable housing mandates. On more complex assignments, they will work with oversight and support from senior colleagues. They will also collaborate with other members of the team in London and Hyderabad to ensure high quality valuations are delivered to clients and drive operational efficiency. They will play a key role in the supervision and quality assurance of work completed by junior members of the London team and our colleagues in Hyderabad.

This role will work primarily within the Affordable Housing Sector as part of the wider Living Team. CBRE launched a successful Affordable Housing team in 2019, having grown a healthy book of top tier institutional clients, focusing on For Profit Registered Providers. The team has significant scope for career development, as a high margin team of five based in London, having been identified as a key growth sector within the 40 person Living Team. The team's existing mandates include Legal & General Affordable Homes, Gresham House and Savills IM, alongside all major lenders.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct valuation and advisory work, alongside senior members of the team, for loan security, accounting, fund reporting, investment, etc purposes.
* Take responsibility for initial valuation panelling, focusing on quality reassurance management.
* Support the team lead with business development, RFPs and pitch activities.
* Conduct physical property inspections and assist the team lead with more complex inspections.
* Collaborate with other members of the Hyderabad and London Valuation team on the valuation process and undertake quality control of their work.
* Manage large scale property data sets, including excel based analysis.
* Manage opportunity records up to execution.
* Conduct technical aspects of property due diligence and review changes to valuation data (Regular only).
* Select appropriate comparables, performing analysis, and drawing conclusions.
* Perform valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculations and analysis and support for senior valuers on more complex valuations.
* Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
* Preparation of reports.
* Help with revenue recognition and provide necessary paperwork.
* Complete 'activate' set up in TOPS2.
* QRM compliance.
* Gather and share relevant market intelligence and support senior members of the team with other value-add tasks.
* Support with training and mentoring more junior members of the team to develop management skills.
* Work flexibly across sectors and services within the Division and support other Divisions as and when required.
Person Specification/Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
* MRICS qualified or equivalent, with relevant post qualified experience.
* Demonstrable experience leading on projects.
* Experience reviewing valuations for Quality Reassurance Management.
* Desire to grow our book of work through business development and a willingness to client network.
* Knowledge of property valuation methodologies and techniques.
* Proficiency in using Excel, with Argus Developer preferable.
* Proficiency in reporting and data analytical tools to drive operational efficiency and reduce potential data transposition errors.
* Good understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation.
* Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team as a job lead, with the ability to operate autonomously in an efficient and productive manner.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate and meet deadlines.
* Enjoys working under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Valid UK driving licence.
