We are looking for a Consultant level Town Planner with at least two years of relevant experience to support the growth of our successful team in the South West region. Your talents will help us deliver a variety of major infrastructure and development projects for our clients.

You will have the opportunity to progress your career across a diverse range of clients, including Energy and Water companies, the Environment Agency, National Highways, Homes England, High Speed 2, the Ministry of Defence, DLUHC, Network Rail, Transport for the North, Transport for London, West of England Combined Authority, the GLA, and many others, including international development work for funding institutions and government bodies.
Your purpose:
* Act as Planning Support on projects across various markets and sectors.
* Potentially undertake secondment roles with our client organisations.
* Support bidding and tendering for new opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with Planning Team Leaders and senior colleagues.
* Work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment with environmental, engineering, and design teams across AtkinsRéalis (UK and international).
* Assist in the development of graduates within the Planning and Environmental Practice.
What you can bring:
* A relevant Planning degree; RTPI membership is desirable.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, and resilient.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience with TCPA, DCO, TWAO, or similar applications, and understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
* Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams and contribute effectively across various projects and geographies.
* Strong report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate planning issues clearly.
* Flexible application of knowledge to a variety of planning tasks.
* Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
