Approved Electrician

This is a full‑time, permanent position.
Richard Irvin, an RSK Group company, is recruiting an Approved Electrician to join our team. The role involves performing routine servicing, maintenance, repair, and planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical installations.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing and response repairs to electrical services equipment, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
* Undertake the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair of building services installations, including lighting, power, emergency lighting systems, energy conservation, heating controls, hot water systems and renewable systems.
* Undertake as directed the planned preventative maintenance programme (PPM) related to electrical inspections and testing within a variety of buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines, statutory acts and regulations.
* Assist all other trades as and when required.
* Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials to ensure that appropriate and satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out following best practice and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Time served Electrical Apprenticeship.
* 18th Edition qualification with amendment.
* City & Guilds Electrical Inspection & Testing (2391).
* Experience of commercial and light industrial installation practices essential, inclusive of single and three‑phase electrical systems.
* Current driving licence.
