Carpenter / Passive Fire Engineer Location: Basingstoke and surrounding area Company Overview Our client is an established facilities management and construction services business delivering high-quality, compliance-led solutions across the UK. As part of continued growth within the Facilities Management division, our client is expanding its Passive Fire capability and is looking to appoint a skilled Passive Fire Engineer to support a large, high-profile hospitality client. The Role This is a hands-on role focused on the inspection, maintenance, and certification of fire doors, ensuring full compliance with current building regulations and fire safety legislation. You will work autonomously across sites, engaging directly with the client, while also supporting internal teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently, accurately documented, and invoiced correctly. Key Responsibilities * Carry out maintenance and remedial works to fire doors in line with current legislation and building regulations * Assess works on-site and produce accurate quotes detailing labour and materials * Liaise directly with the client, confidently explaining technical specifications and compliance requirements * Certify completed works and provide all required documentation for client records Skills & Experience Required * NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (or equivalent) * Strong background in general carpentry and building maintenance * Proven knowledge of current fire door legislation and the ability to certify works * Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach * Ability to produce clear, accurate notes, reports, and emails * Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records * Practical, solution-focused mindset with strong attention to detail Salary & Package * £43k company Vehicle * On call rota (weekly allowance & bug overtime earning opportunity) * 33 days holiday * Permanent, stable role within a growing FM business * Opportunities for further training and development * Supportive management and clear structure * Company benefits package
