The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive Project Engineer to lead and manage engineering, building, and services projects across our site. You will ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards while delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
* Scope, plan, and deliver engineering projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
* Manage contractor performance, permit-to-work systems, and compliance with safety standards.
* Prepare and control project budgets, including capital expenditure and ROI reporting.
* Identify and implement best available technology to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and KPIs for audits and internal reviews.
The Ideal Candidate

* HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline with proven experience in manufacturing operations.
* Strong project management skills, including budgeting and contractor control.
* Knowledge of legislative requirements, food safety standards, and health & safety practices.
* Proficiency in IT systems, Microsoft Office, CMMS, and AutoCAD.
* Lean Six Sigma (White or Yellow Belt minimum) and experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
