12 month fixed term Contract
Our acute surgical ward specialising in colorectal and gastrointestinal surgery, aims to provide a high quality effective service to all patients, encompassing the trusts vison and values.
The Care Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing / Midwifery team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient's condition which may require the intervention of others.

Maths and English qualification - GCSE A-D, or Grade 4-9, or Functional Skills Level 1
Care Certificate or ability to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification/relevant experience
Knowledge & Training
Prepared to undergo further training
