Are you a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer looking to work on technically challenging, high-value projects in specialist sectors like pharmaceuticals, biotech, and food & beverage?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, client-focused Building Services Contractor with over 25 years of experience delivering bespoke M&E solutions on projects up to £15m. Known for their quality-first approach and in-house expertise, they offer a true end-to-end service – from concept design through to installation and long-term maintenance.
The RoleYou’ll take a leading role in the mechanical design and delivery ofplex building services projects, with a strong focus on HVAC systems. Working alongside a highly skilled engineering team, you’ll have real influence over design decisions and the technical direction of projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoysbining hands-on design work with technical leadership and coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Designing and specifying mechanical building services systems, particularly HVAC
2. Producing calculations and detailed designs using tools such as Hevp, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD
3. Preparing technical specifications, drawings, and tender information
4. Collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and other engineering disciplines
5. Attending design meetings, site visits, and inspections
6. Ensuring designs meet CIBSE standards, legislation, and industry best practice
What They’re Looking For
7. A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
8. At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical building services design
9. Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and relevant regulations
10. Working towards or holding professional membership (CIBSE / IMechE) is an advantage
