Purchasing Assistant (Part-Time) Hours: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday Location: Attleborough, Norfolk Pay: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata) Contract: Permanent Hales Group are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering company based in Attleborough, Norfolk. Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke products for a range of industries and is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing and production operations. Hours: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (17.5 hours per week, ½ hour unpaid break). Key Responsibilities: Process and Manage Orders: Accurately process purchase orders from customers and efficiently place orders with suppliers, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely manner. Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong, positive relationships with both suppliers and customers, acting as a key point of contact to support ongoing business needs. Supplier Liaison & Issue Resolution: Proactively liaise with suppliers to resolve any quality issues or discrepancies, ensuring swift and effective solutions to maintain high standards. Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and issue certificates of conformity and delivery notes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in line with company procedures. Production Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to coordinate and manage delivery schedules, supporting smooth and efficient operations. Record Keeping: Maintain up to date and accurate records of all purchasing activities, ensuring documentation is organised, accessible, and compliant with audit requirements.
