Our client is a well:established precision engineering manufacturer experiencing significant growth and is now seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their expanding team. This is a low:volume, high:variety environment, offering exposure to interesting, complex components rather than repetitive batch work.
The Role
As a key member of the machine shop, you will be responsible for:
* Setting, operating and programming CNC machines (lathes and/or machining centres)
* Working with Fanuc controls (essential requirement)
* Producing high:quality precision components to tight tolerances
* Selecting tooling, carrying out in:process quality checks and maintaining documentation
* Contributing to continuous improvement and departmental performance targets

Monday : Thursday 07:00:16:00 Friday 07:00:12:00
What Were Looking ForTo be considered, you must have:
* Strong CNC setting, operating and programming experience
* Proficiency with Fanuc controls (G and M codes)
* Ability to work from engineering drawings and use measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers)
* Experience in both milling and/or turning
* A proactive, quality:focused approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Knowledge of CAD/CAM
* Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (6S, SMED etc.)
* Use of conventional machine tools
