Job Description Your role will be to coordinate the recruitment and matching of volunteers to appropriate service areas within the charity, improving systems and processes to ensure that volunteers are informed, onboarded, trained, supported, and better able to access the broad range of volunteering opportunities on offer. Working closely with operational management and department leads, your role will be crucial in ensuring that volunteers are effectively utilised to support our mission and goals making volunteering inclusive and accessible. Responsibilities: * Recruitment and Outreach: Attracting and engaging potential volunteers by promoting volunteer opportunities through various channels. Attend events to raise the profile of Age Connects Morgannwg to attract new volunteers * Training and Development: Providing proper orientation, training, and support to volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles and work with staff to ensure they can effectively support volunteers. * Supervision and Support: Ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported, and motivated throughout their engagement by offering guidance, feedback, and addressing concerns. * Scheduling and Coordination: Organizing volunteer schedules and ensuring that there are enough volunteers to meet the needs of the organization. * Maintaining Relationships: Building and maintaining positive relationships with volunteers and working closely with staff and other stakeholders to ensure that volunteers are integrated into the organisation and their contributions are valued and recognised. * Data Management and Reporting: Tracking volunteer hours, achievements, and maintaining accurate records and managing volunteer database for reporting purposes and compliance. * Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating volunteer performance and providing feedback and support as needed, along with reports for funders and Head of Charity Development, as required. * Recognition: Acknowledging and appreciating volunteers’ contributions through recognition programs, events, or other forms of appreciation. Support the development of a Volunteering Strategy and plan to achieve Investors in Volunteers. All staff/volunteers working for Age Connects Morgannwg are expected to respond appropriately to any concerns that they may have regarding the abuse/inappropriate treatment of vulnerable adults. This will usually mean alerting their line manager. The protection of vulnerable adults is always a core responsibility. The above is a broad definition of the job responsibilities.
