As we grow, we are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, influence product strategy, and make a significant impact in a global business.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior R&D Design Engineer include:
1. Designing and developing next-generation products from concept to testing and launch within our Mechanical Design Engineering team.
2. Shaping our technical roadmap based on emerging technologies, customer needs, and market trends.
3. Creating detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using Fusion 360.
4. Driving continuous improvement in existing products and manufacturing processes.
5. Developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept to production.
6. Conducting engineering calculations for stress, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including applications, materials, procurement, and production.
8. Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation of new products.
9. Identifying and resolving mechanical design issues through iterative development and testing.
10. Preparing documentation such as BOMs, test procedures, and design reports.
11. Participating in design reviews, FMEA, and risk assessments.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in R&D, with a history of bringing innovative products to market.
2. Experience in designing machine builds is advantageous.
3. A background in mechanical engineering within manufacturing or technology sectors.
4. Strong hands-on design skills, especially with control systems, sensors, actuators, or conveyors.
5. Problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
6. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7. A passion for innovation and 3D printing technology.
