Inspire the next generation of women in energy
NESCol is looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Instructor to join its Girls in Energy programme—an exciting initiative designed to spark ambition and empower S3–S6 pupils to explore careers in the dynamic, fast-evolving energy sector.
As part of this role, you’ll deliver the National 5 Girls in Energy qualification, along with engaging activities that promote sustainability, renewables, and the future of energy. You’ll be a key role model—bringing STEM learning to life, building confidence in young women, and helping them visualise their place in the energy workforce of tomorrow.
We’re looking for someone who:
1. Is educated to HNC level or above in an Engineering discipline (or has equivalent industry experience)
2. Has a natural flair for connecting with and motivating young learners
3. Can bring energy, creativity and real-world insight to classroom and outreach settings
4. Ideally holds a recognised Assessor qualification (A1, D32 or equivalent)
5. Holds a driving licence and is able to travel throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Experience in renewables, offshore, or net-zero aligned technologies is a plus—but most important is your enthusiasm to make a lasting impact. This is your chance to be part of a pioneering programme that is not only changing perceptions—but shaping futures.
NESCol is a disability confident employer. We offer a variety of working options in line with business requirements and place great importance on staff wellbeing. We welcome and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
The closing date for applications will be 24th October 2025.
