MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT / FINANCE MANAGER - Superb career development opportunity\n\nBRENTFORD\n\nSalary Circa £58-60k Plus an excellent benefits package\n\nOur client a construction services company based in Brentford is currently looking to add an experienced Accountant to their business, the role will report to the Finance Director. They are looking for a dynamic Accountant (Financial Controller designate) to support the FD with strategic decision making and lead the finance team operations. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious person with a “can-do” attitude and a proven ability to lead a team.\n\nJOB DUTIES\n\nThe successful candidate will lead and manage a team of five colleagues in the finance team.

Work with the Finance Director on regulatory and financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.\n\n * Production of Monthly management accounts for company with a very good understanding of departmental accounts.\n\n * Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.\n\n * Oversee and ensure weekly staff payroll and client invoicing is processed to ensure weekly deadlines are met.\n\n * Oversee and ensure weekly supplier payments are processed.\n\n * Ensure VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation tax is processed and paid accurately and on time.\n\n * Manage all bank reconciliations\n\n * Manage petty cash, credit card expenses and cash expenses\n\n * Manage the invoice discounting facility\n\n * Assist cash flow management\n\n * Assist with the budging process\n\n * Support year-end close process\n\n * Support Finance Director with the annual audit.\n\n * Fixed Asset Management and Accounting (including fleet of Business vehicles)\n\n * Maintain Hire Purchase schedule and record interest payments.\n\n * Ad hoc reporting to Finance Director\n\n * Assist FD in continually reviewing business processes and internal controls.\n\nCandidate requirements\n\n * 3+ years working experience as a Management Accountant\n\n * Strong team Leadership and management skills\n\n * Educated to degree standard (desirable)\n\n * ACCA or CIMA qualified (desirable- must be part qual)\n\n * IT savvy with strong excel skills\n\n * Strong technical accounting knowledge\n\n * Experience of Sage 50 Cloud accounting software desirable\n\n * Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process\n\nIf interested in this amazing career opportunity please forward your CV to Anna Maguire
