My client are leaders in providing high-quality power solutions to businesses across the UK. They are expanding the sales team and are looking for a driven, customer-focused business development manager to help grow presence and revenue. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, results-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships and driving new business. The Role You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of 30–50 key accounts, focusing on both new business and existing client growth. You will spend most of your time out in the field — meeting clients, identifying opportunities, and building long-term relationships that drive revenue. You will combine strategic planning with hands-on sales activity, supported by a dedicated internal team. Key Responsibilities * Identify and develop accounts to build strong, ongoing client relationships. * Drive new business through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, and targeted outreach. * Support and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. * Work closely with platform partners to create reciprocal business opportunities. * Plan weekly activity — 3–4 days on the road and 1 day in the office for admin and follow-ups. * Conduct 2–3 scheduled visits per day, gathering key client and competitor insights. * Aim to convert at least two new accounts per month. * Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities worth approximately £1m annually. * Participate in weekly sales calls and quarterly strategy reviews. What we are looking * Proven experience in B2B field sales, ideally within industrial, construction, or energy sectors especially in the hire market * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently. * Strong planning and follow-up discipline. * Ability to identify opportunities and close deals effectively. * Full UK driving licence.
