The role is both office-based and shop-floor focused, requiring practical understanding of machining and engineering processes.Key Responsibilities Production planning and scheduling within a machining environmentProgress chasing jobs through the shop floorAssisting the Production Manager with day-to-day production managementProducing and maintaining accurate status and production reportsLiaising with internal departments to manage workload and prioritiesSupporting shop floor duties with an understanding of machining processesMaintaining strong internal account and stakeholder relationshipsEnsuring production deadlines and quality standards are met Requirements Proven experience as a Production Planner within an engineering or manufacturing environmentStrong background in a machine shop / machining environmentRelevant engineering or manufacturing qualifications (HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalent)Solid understanding of production management and manufacturing workflowsAbility to work closely with shop floor teams and managementStrong organisational, communication, and reporting skills Salary & Benefits £45,000 - £48,000 per annumMonday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pmFriday: 8:00am - 2:30pmFlexible start times available (6:00am or 7:00am start possible) Location Halifax, West Yorkshire This role would suit a proactive Production Planner who enjoys being involved in both planning and hands-on manufacturing operations, and who is confident working in a fast-paced engineering environment.
