GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield (S12) area. This role provides the opportunity to support teachers in delivering lessons, assist pupils with learning activities, and help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Responsibilities as a Classroom Assistant:
* Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
* Assist pupils individually or in small groups with learning tasks.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to engage in their learning.
* Help prepare classroom resources and organise learning spaces.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
* Support a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements for Classroom Assistant:
* Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patient, approachable, and able to motivate pupils.
* Ability to adapt to the needs of different pupils and learning styles.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
