The Job
We are seeking a dynamic In-House Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the legal department, assisting lawyers and legal teams operating across Europe. This role ensures efficient workflow, timely document management, and effective communication within a dynamic, cross-border legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements
* Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations in accordance with EU legal standards.
* Maintain and organize confidential files, contracts, and case records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant EU regulations.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners, including law firms and regulatory bodies
* Assist with legal research, case preparation, and the compilation of regulatory filings and submissions
* Track deadlines, monitor deliverables, and follow up on outstanding legal matters.
* Manage expense reports, invoices, and budgeting for the legal department
* Purchase order creation & invoicing process.
The Person
* Demonstrable experience supporting legal teams
* Familiarity with GDPR and EU data privacy requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent; legal studies or paralegal certification preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English required
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
