Fostering - Kinship

Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join the children’s Fostering service. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's social work kinship team in the southeast. You will be supported by an experienced team manager. Our client has a strong and positive culture in this North West local authority, which we would love you to be a part of. We offer regular monthly supervision and group reflective supervision.
As part of this South East dedicated Fostering Team, you will be working in a busy and supportive team assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. Fostering work directly with children and their families, partnering with agencies including police and health to ensure the best outcomes with sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support for children and families when social care involvement is no longer needed.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and informed by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you’ll make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you’ll establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet their needs.

Perfect candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Experience working within Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
* Supporting children and families subject to CIN and Child Protection planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings.
* Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect.
* Undertaking Child & Family Assessments demonstrating effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review.
* Effective direct work with children and families.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
* Constant striving for continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for children.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
* Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
* Commitment to providing high-quality services.
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
MUST HAVE 2 YEARS POST-QUALIFIED EXPERIENCE IN FOSTERING
