The Role
Employers' Liability / Public Liability Litigation Executive - Manchester - Hybrid - up to £40,000
A well-established national law firm is looking to recruit an EL/PL Litigation Executive to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a delegated authority, fixed-fee caseload of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims, acting for a strong portfolio of insurer clients.
You’ll be working alongside experienced colleagues who will support your development, offering guidance on strategy, liability decisions and ongoing technical progression, while still giving you the autonomy to manage your own files.
The role offers a varied and interesting caseload, including Pre-Action Disclosure matters, Infant Approval Hearings and a wide range of EL/PL claims. You’ll also have the opportunity to support senior fee earners on more complex matters, gaining valuable exposure to higher-value and technically challenging work.
This position would suit someone who enjoys a structured, analytical approach to litigation, with a solid understanding of liability, quantum and evidential requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include end-to-end file management, drafting pleadings and legal documentation, instructing Counsel and experts, negotiating settlements, and attending hearings and conferences.

* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
* Strong drafting skills, including experience with Tomlin and Consent Orders
* Experience handling disclosure, CRU, medical records review and evidence collation
* Comfortable instructing Counsel, preparing for hearings and attending conferences
* Good IT skills and familiarity with case management systems
* A proactive and collaborative approach

* Hybrid working arrangements
* Private medical insurance and healthcare cash plan
* Pension scheme
* Supportive team environment with clear progression opportunities
