Role Description:
The Head of IAM Infrastructure is responsible for the strategic leadership, design, delivery, and operational excellence of the organisation’s Identity & Access Management platforms. This role oversees end‑to‑end IAM capabilities including authentication, authorisation, privileged access management (PAM), directory services, lifecycle automation, federation, and identity governance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the enterprise IAM architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with regulatory and security requirements.
* Lead engineering teams responsible for Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, and related IAM technologies.
* Oversee delivery of IAM transformation programmes, including consolidation of identity stores, MFA/SSO rollout, Zero Trust model adoption, and PAM maturity uplift.
* Define IAM standards, policies, and patterns covering identity lifecycle, joiner-mover-leaver (JML) automation, role‑based access control (RBAC), and least‑privilege enforcement.
* Manage operational KPIs for IAM stability, performance, incident reduction, and operational resilience testing.
* Drive continuous service improvement, including automation, API integration, and reduction of manual provisioning.
* Collaborate with Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, Application Teams, and Audit/Compliance to ensure IAM controls meet regulatory expectations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO27001).
Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years in Identity & Access Management, including leadership of engineering or operations teams.
* Expert knowledge of directory services (ADDS, ADFS, Azure AD), federation (SAML/OIDC/OAuth2), MFA/SSO, PAM, and privileged session monitoring.
* Strong technical foundation in cloud IAM (Azure, AWS, GCP), identity governance platforms, and API‑driven provisioning.
* Ability to design secure, scalable IAM architectures for hybrid enterprise environments.
* Proven experience leading large-scale IAM modernisation or Zero Trust programmes.
* Excellent stakeholder management, budget ownership, and strategic planning capabilities.
