Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We're looking for a confident and caring Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a primary school setting.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a background in youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring, especially if you have a strong interest in child development and behaviour support.
Key Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils experiencing SEMH difficulties
* Use positive behaviour strategies to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Support classroom routines while maintaining a calm, structured environment
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral leads
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
* Background in youth work, sports, or similar pastoral roles is beneficial
* Training or knowledge related to SEMH in children is highly desirable
* Resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure
* Committed to helping children reach their full potential
