Main duties of the job
The Theatre Healthcare Assistant is an important member of our operating theatre team, who provides support to our Registered Theatre Practitioners working within the department. You will undertake a range of activities within theatre under the supervision and guidance of a Senior Theatre Healthcare Support Worker or Registered Theatre Practitioner. The post-holder will also be able to work towards completion of the Care Certificate and in-house theatre competencies in order to progress.
Career progression is encouraged, and a number of our Theatre HCSW’s have subsequently progressed onto Nurse or ODP training.
Essential For Application
A qualification and credit framework (QCF) Level 3, this could be the equivalent of an NVQ, BTEC in Healthcare related studies. Or you will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.

* Good communication skills, able to communicate respectfully verbally and in writing.
