Position Overview
This is a part-time position with a three-month probationary period (which may be extended). The role is expected to transition to full-time after the probation, so applicants must be available to move to full-time hours.
Salary: £14,000 – £24,000 per year, depending on experience and hours.
Role Responsibilities
The Scheduler/Care Coordinator is responsible for scheduling Care Professionals’ visits to our Clients. This role is vital to ensuring that our Clients receive the very best care and support.
The Scheduler/Care Coordinator will perform duties including organising all rotas, ensuring staff and clients are aware of schedules, responding to schedule changes, and undertaking administrative tasks as required. Strong personal skills are essential for liaising with the team to meet clients’ needs.
The Care Coordinator reports directly to the Care Manager and handles administrative work efficiently and promptly.
Key Duties
1. Organising all rotas and staffing requirements
2. Ensuring all staff and clients are aware of working schedules
3. Responding to schedule changes and liaising with relevant team members
4. Handling support or admin duties as directed by the Business Owner or Registered Care Manager
5. Keeping data up-to-date
6. Answering calls professionally and passing messages promptly
Qualifications
* Experience as a Scheduler within a care setting is preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with scheduling software (preferably People Planner)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
* Office administration experience
* Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English
* Flexibility and initiative
* Attention to detail
* Driving license and vehicle are essential
