Rate of Pay: From £13.75 per hour

About the role

We are delighted to announce that Teaching Personnel is currently working with a warm and welcoming primary school based in Rock Ferry that is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive staff team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey, while also developing their own skills and experience. The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping a young learner thrive both academically and personally.

Your Responsibilities will include:

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil within a nurturing school environment.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities and communication strategies.
* Support the pupil’s academic progression, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
* Assist with implementing personalised support plans, including sensory needs and alternative communication methods.
* Promote an inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school’s values of compassion, respect, and care.
* Contribute to wider classroom activities as needed, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
* Benefit from the opportunity to develop new skills and gain valuable experience within a supportive primary school community in Rock Ferry.

What We Are Looking For

* Experience in similar roles, such as supporting children in education or care settings.
* Experience working with children who have additional or special educational needs.
* An understanding, patient, and child‑focused approach to supporting learning.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Minimum qualification of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
