Job Description
* Drafting payments and reconciling both bank and nominal ledger accounts
* Monitoring client agreements and ensuring compliance with client-related deadlines
* Maintaining purchase ledger, sales ledger, and cashbooks
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly, annual, and ad hoc management accounts, as well as audit files
* Drafting annual reports and calculating investor unit valuations
* Supporting the review and preparation of tax and VAT returns
* Performing other ad hoc duties as required by the company
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
* Office based experience in an accounts environment
* An interest in pursuing a career in accounts
* Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
