Job Opportunity: Band 7 Occupational Therapist
(16 month Fixed-Term Contract from December 2025 till April 2027). We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our forward-thinking Intensive Rehabilitation Service (IRS) – a large, multidisciplinary community team based in London. The IRS provides community-based physical rehabilitation as an alternative to hospital bed-based care, enabling patients to recover in their own homes. We work closely with inpatient rehabilitation services and acute care partners to facilitate early discharges and support patients through an intensive rehabilitation programme tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities
* Triaging incoming referrals into the service on a rostered basis
* Completing clinical supervisions and joint sessions with junior members of the team
* Attending MDT meetings
* Co-ordinating caseload for efficiency
* Completing audits to ensure service effectiveness
Qualifications
Essential
* BSc OT
* HCPC registered
Desirable
* RCOT membership
Experience
Essential
* Experience working as an OT in rehabilitation
* Minimum 5 years post graduate experience
* Supervisory experience
Desirable
* Experience working as an OT in community rehabilitation
Knowledge
Essential
* Understanding of NHS agenda
* Understanding of NHS priorities
Desirable
* Clean drivers license
Additional Information
Starting with NELFT: Induction of up to two weeks, mandatory training, and equipment allocation. The post is subject to a probationary period (internal applicants may be exempt).
High Cost Area Supplement (Outer London): 15% of basic salary (minimum £4,714 to maximum £5,941 per annum, pro rata for part-time).
