We’re looking for an experienced Senior Process Technician to join our growing team in an exciting start-up manufacturing environment. You’ll play a vital role in establishing robust operations, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement as we scale up production.
This is a hands-on role working with complex process equipment and control systems, including SCADA, DCS and QCS platforms. You’ll be at the heart of daily operations, supporting maintenance, troubleshooting issues and contributing to plant upgrades and engineering projects.
Hours of Work
This position will initially operate on daytime hours (Monday–Friday) for onboarding and training. Over time, it will transition to a 12-hour shift-based rota covering days, nights, and weekends. Flexibility and a willingness to move to shift work is essential as this change is inevitable.
What You’ll Do
* Operate, monitor and optimise manufacturing and process equipment.
* Monitor and adjust plant performance using SCADA, DCS and QCS control systems and other process monitoring tools.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, inspections and calibrations.
* Record production and maintenance data accurately using control systems.
* Support engineering teams with fault diagnosis, plant modifications and commissioning.
* Manage incoming materials, consumables and waste safely and efficiently.
* Take part in safety assessments, hazard reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Train and mentor other technicians/operators and act as a shift lead when required.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong track record in a manufacturing, process, or industrial environment.
* Good understanding of plant safety, quality and environmental compliance.
* Hands-on experience with process equipment, SCADA, DCS, QCS or other process control systems, and safe systems of work (permits to work, isolations, lockout/tagout).
* Flexibility to start on days and move to shifts, including nights and weekends.
* Comfortable leading by example, keeping records, and driving improvements.
* Willingness to undertake training for specialist equipment
* Qualifications or experience in Electrical, Instrumentation/Controls, Mechanical or Process Engineering disciplines Is advantageous.
* Experience working with hazardous, high-pressure or flammable materials is also highly beneficial.
* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement tools.
