Job Description
Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy in the infrastructure sector. We are looking to recruit an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for our prestigious infrastructure projects.
As an experienced professional, you will bring extensive cost management expertise to a dynamic environment. We seek a candidate comfortable with challenging conversations, adopting a consultative approach, and capable of motivating their team and clients.
Main Responsibilities
1. Establishing professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
2. Administering contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
3. Providing accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion within budget.
4. Monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
5. Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including performance, cost control, and value engineering.
6. Managing contract changes effectively, maintaining governance, and adopting best practices.
7. Improving forecast and budget accuracy.
8. Providing sound commercial support and knowledge to stakeholders.
9. Negotiating and finalizing project accounts.
10. Leading teams and managing commissions as needed.
Qualifications
* MRICS preferred
* Experience with NEC3 contracts, especially Option C – Target Cost
* Post-contract administration experience
* Experience working on major programmes and projects
* Experience in infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways)
* Proven leadership and team management skills
