Job Description
I am working in partnership with a well-respected regional law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its residential property team in Bingley. This is a full-time, office-based role that would suit someone with a minimum of 12 months’ experience supporting a busy conveyancing team, particularly in residential sales and purchase transactions.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive and professional legal support professional who enjoys a client-facing role and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be supporting solicitors and fee earners on a high-volume caseload and play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient conveyancing process for clients.
Key responsibilities:
* Opening new client files and inputting data accurately into the case management system
* Preparing initial correspondence and legal documents, including issuing contracts on sale files
* Progressing transactions in line with firm procedures and service standards
* Ordering property searches and assisting in preparing reports to clients
* Supporting exchange of contracts, completions and handling post-completion matters
* Liaising with clients, estate agents and other solicitors by phone and email
* Handling incoming and outgoing post
* Providing general administrative support, including filing, billing and archiving
What we’re looking for:
* At least 12 months’ experience in a conveyancing assistant or similar legal support role
* Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
* Confident and accurate communication, both written and verbal
* Good working knowledge of IT systems and case management software
* Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
* A professional, friendly and client-focused approach
* A team player who is also comfortable working independently
* Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
