MAP Social Worker (Front Door) - Surrey County Council | Woking | £42 p/h Umbrella | Hybrid
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MAP Social Worker to join Surrey County Council within their Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) / Front Door Service, based in Woking. This is a fast-paced safeguarding role focused on screening referrals, assessing risk, and multi-agency decision making to ensure children receive the right level of intervention at the right time.

* Pay Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
* Working Pattern: Hybrid / Office-based (service dependent)
About the Role
You will be part of Surrey\'s front-door safeguarding service, working alongside partner agencies to make timely and informed decisions regarding children\'s referrals. This is a non-caseholding, high-impact decision-making role.
Key Responsibilities
* Screening and triaging incoming safeguarding referrals
* Undertaking risk assessments and threshold decision making
* Liaising with Police, Health, Education, and other agencies
* Identifying appropriate next steps (Early Help / CIN / CP / Assessment teams)
* Ensuring timely safeguarding responses and accurate recording
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3+ years post-qualified experience in a UK Local Authority
* Social Work England registration
* Strong experience in MASH / Front Door / Assessment / Safeguarding teams
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
