Who We Are

This role is physically based at our office outside Keswick with flexibility for 1-2 days of remote work.
The Technical Engineer Role
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to support a variety of technologies including cloud solutions, VoIP, infrastructure projects, and cyber security. The role is diverse and ideal for problem-solvers who enjoy hands-on engineering work.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for servers, networks, cloud platforms, and VoIP systems
* Designing, quoting, and delivering Windows Server infrastructure and backup solutions
* Supporting clients remotely, by phone, and on-site across Cumbria and beyond
* Maintaining system security and cyber security practices
* Collaborating with other engineers and supporting junior team members
Essential Skills
* Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365
* Understanding of networking fundamentals
* Knowledge of backup, continuity, and disaster recovery solutions
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused attitude
* Full UK driving license
Nice to Have
* Experience in IT support (3+ years preferred)
* Familiarity with VoIP and MSP tools like ConnectWise or NinjaRMM
* Exposure to firewalls such as Sophos, Cisco, or Ubiquiti
* Experience with Datto, Veeam, ShadowProtect, ESET
* Industry certifications and a willingness to continue learning
