We work with West Berks council who have tasked us with recruiting for a resilient SEMH Teacher to join their specialist provision. This is a unique opportunity to work within a multi-agency team that supports some of the most vulnerable learners across the county.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
* Deliver personalised, trauma-informed teaching to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs
* Create safe, structured learning environments that foster trust, engagement, and progress
* Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and SEN professionals to develop and implement tailored education plans
* Use creative strategies to re-engage learners and reduce barriers to learning
* Monitor progress and contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews and reports
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Proven experience working with children with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or trauma-related needs
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive teaching practices
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A calm, compassionate approach and a commitment to restorative practice
