The client is a leading national transport and logistics organisation, due to growth and business expansion, they are looking to recruit a business development manager to expand their presence across the European / Continental market. To attract the best candidates, an excellent basic salary of £60K-£80K is on offer, plus company car / allowance, health care, pension contribution and a bonus.
Responsibilities
Your role will be to lead, develop and manage new European business opportunities by:
* Identifying, securing and converting client requirements to new business wins across the European market
* Offering bespoke solutions to clients across various logistics channels including road, sea and air freight
* Working across the full sales life cycle, from lead generation, contract signing through to operational handover
* Building and developing long-term client relationships, fostering both growth, trust and profitability
* Working with the senior leadership team and contributing towards strategic growth plans
Requirements
1. A proven demonstrable track record of European business development success within logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding
