Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight
Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Apply manufacturing engineering knowledge to support and develop electromechanical assembly processes.
* Interpret production drawings to identify tooling, manufacturing, handling, safety requirements, and estimate assembly times.
* Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions and shopfloor layouts.
* Conduct health and safety activities such as risk assessments, COSHH, PUWER, and manual handling assessments.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and customers technically.
* Develop training packages on modern technologies and processes.
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure Design for Manufacture considerations.
Your skills and experience:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
* Strong knowledge of production engineering principles.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
* HNC/D qualification in engineering.
* Understanding of engineering change documentation.
* Experience with SAP transactions and table structures (training provided).
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques.

The Manufacturing Engineering Team:
The team consists of 6 engineers supporting all build process steps, interacting with procurement, projects, stores, manufacturing, and engineering. It’s a fast-paced environment requiring excellent communication, problem-solving, and planning skills.
