Description The Service & Team: The Town Regeneration & Investment Programme (TRIP) Programme Lead will be a key member of a small team that supports the development and delivery of a diverse range of projects within the Economy & Skills Service and which deliver against the aims and objectives of the Cornwall Good Growth Plan, Cornwall Local Plan and the Council’s Place Shaping and Regeneration policies. Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of a new £2.7m programme of investment that is being funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. TRIP will provide investment to support significant place-based interventions that will boost growth and productivity of local businesses and help regenerate towns across Cornwall. This will be achieved through projects that are directly delivered by Cornwall Council and a delegated grant fund that will be open to businesses and other organisations across Cornwall to bid into. The Role: Responsibilities of the role holder will include: Promoting the opportunity presented by TRIP across Cornwall’s towns, utilising existing networks and stakeholder groups where they exist (ie Town Teams) and developing new contacts and relationships in towns where necessary. Developing and maintaining applicant guidance documentation and FAQs Providing specialist guidance on technical issues (e.g. Subsidy Control, Procurement, Net Zero, Social Value) Working closely with the Grant Management Team within the wider Economy & Skills Service to manage the pipeline of applications and appraisal/approval timescales. Providing project delivery and claiming guidance and support. Leading the evaluation process for TRIP to help measure impact. Organising and attending engagement events and mentoring. Networking and collaboration with local businesses and other community stakeholders to promote TRIP. Management of the TRIP Project Officer. Working Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements will be considered however there is an expectation to attend meetings and office days to work collaboratively with the wider team each month. What you’ll need to succeed: The successful applicant will bring a range of skills, knowledge and experience to the role, including: Up to date knowledge and understanding of place and town related issues to improve and transform outcomes for communities. Successful and demonstrable track record of successful project management, stakeholder engagement and strategy/plan development Strong experience of developing partnership working, building effective relationships, providing support to the public, private and community and voluntary sector stakeholders, partners and the local community. Analytical skills and abilities to interpret complex data. Strong experience of financial and risk management, and an expert communicating of complex issues. This is a fixed term position to 31 March 2026 so we are looking for enthusiasm and motivation to ensure success in maximising the impact of the funding available through the programme.
