Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Electrical Components
Location: Must be located on the M62 Corridor to service the North of England
Compensation: £55,000 to £65,000 base + uncapped commission scheme + company car/allowance
Irving Knight are partnered with a global distributor of electrical components who are growing extensively across Europe and are looking for an experienced sales professional to service the North.
Key responsibilities:
* You will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with customers throughout the Northern region, ensuring strong engagement and identifying opportunities for growth. This will include regular communication, understanding customer needs, providing technical support, and building long-term partnerships that drive sales and satisfaction.
* The role involves full responsibility for a portfolio of electro-mechanical products, specifically sensors, switches, relays, connectors, and related accessories. You will be working with major global manufacturers, ensuring their products are effectively represented and promoted within your market.
* An important focus will be on developing and nurturing key customer relationships within the Aerospace/Military sector, as well as in high-growth markets such as medical devices, transportation, electric vehicles, and broader e-mobility applications. This will require industry insight, market analysis, and targeted outreach to decision-makers.
Requirements:
* Must have electrical component product experience - sensors, switches, relays, connectors, accessory product experience is highly desirable
* You must have direct, hands-on experience in selling, designing, supporting, or distributing electrical components - Deep product knowledge and practical understanding of applications are essential for being credible with customers.
* Open to speaking to candidates from both a distributor or manufacturing background
