Are you an experienced Automatic Door Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join their growing team, working on the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of automatic door systems across a wide range of settings.
Location: South Wales
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
What You’ll Do
* Install, service, and repair automatic door systems (sliding, swing, revolving, and specialist access doors).
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise customer downtime.
* Perform preventative maintenance in line with BS EN 16005 and manufacturers’ standards.
* Conduct safety inspections, adjustments, and compliance testing.
* Provide on-site technical support and excellent customer service.
* Accurately complete service reports and parts records.
* Take part in an on-call rota for emergency breakdown cover.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Proven experience with automatic doors, access control, or similar electromechanical equipment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
* Knowledge of BS EN 16005 safety standards.
* Full UK driving licence (clean).
* Ability to pass full security vetting (NPPV2 Full).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
* ADSA accreditation (or equivalent).
* Experience with aluminium door fabrication and installation.
* Familiarity with various door control systems and brands.
* Basic IT skills for job reporting and service management software.
