Bookkeeper | Accountancy Practice | Belfast Our client, one of the largest accountancy firms in Northern Ireland, are recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their team in the Belfast office. This is a full time permanent opportunity, office based. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, supporting them with their financial records and cloud-based accounting software. Specific duties will involve: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation Prepare and post monthly payroll and other month end journals including accruals & prepayments Supporting clients with their cloud-based accounting software, primarily Xero and QuickBooks Preparing monthly management accounts to include reconciliation of all balance sheet control items Assisting with compilation of VAT returns to comply with Making Tax Digital Supporting wider finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis Analysis of time spent on jobs and drafting of fees to client Skills & Expertise required: Bookkeeping qualification or part qualified (IATI) Experience in bookkeeping within a professional services environment Strong understanding of foundational accounting principles with good attention to detail Proficiency in cloud accounting software and associated Add-ons (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, Hubdoc) Competent in MS Excel for data analysis including pivot tables, V-Lookup and filters Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of manging multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Next steps: To find out more about this fantastic opportunity, please call Lizzy Lyons on or email your cv in confidence to: You can also contact me directly on Linkedin.
