Vacancy Information

This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.

Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.

Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.

It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.

This role seeks to address the need to ensure a return for our investments in change activities. Surrey and Sussex Police are investing heavily in these areas and are required to demonstrate the new, better ways of working have been embedded at a behavioural level.

You will be working as part of the Operational and Delivery team in the Data, Digital and Technology Team (DDaT) helping to deliver digital change across both forces.

Principle Accountabilities Include,

Stakeholder Management – Be engaged with senior stakeholders to ensure the organisations are able to push changes through from the top down where required. Continue engagement during difficult times to ensure decisions are not made without wider consultation with the business.

Ensuring that business areas understand the full impact of the digital capabilities and recognise their readiness levels to receive the capabilities.

Keeping abreast of the wider Change Portfolios, to ensure conflicts, dependencies are understood and acted upon.

Influencing business units to ensure that the appropriate business resources are made planned and available.

Arranging training / learning activities to ensure changes being requested are realistic

Co-ordinate and motivate the change network and champions (commanders) to ensure changes are being communicated and worked through at a divisional level with coordinated activity coming from the centre.
