Description Job Title: Manufacturing Apprenticeship Location: Hartlepool (TS25 2EG) Salary: Year 1 £14,330 (Annual salary reviews subject to satisfactory performance and progression through the apprentice scheme.) Our people make the difference. What you will do Our manufacturing function plays a vital role in our business. Working closely with colleagues in and beyond manufacturing to ensure that plant performance is optimised and that production targets are achieved. This involves operating at pace, with precision and to accurate technical guidelines. The roles are varied - you will be involved with all elements associated with manufacturing including; health & safety, quality, customer focus, production efficiency, planning and technical areas. With hard work and dedication, successful candidates will become fully functioning Team Members over the two-year period and be able to perform a range of Manufacturing duties. Beyond this milestone, candidates with the aspiration and potential can continue their development and become our Senior Operators or Team Leaders of the future. The Apprenticeship The apprenticeship will be a 3 year programme, where you will study for a Level 3 BTEC in Advanced Manufacturing & a BTEC HNC should you pass the necessary modules. The course will use blended learning through knowledge, skills and application at both college and on site. Year 1 will be full time at college. Year 2 will be a mix of day release at college (depending on qualifications) and shift work on site at Tata Steel in Hartlepool. Year 3 will be full time on site at Tata Steel in Hartlepool. Applicants should preferably have knowledge of the products we produce. To be considered for our Manufacturing Apprenticeship Programme you will need to have 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including English Language, Maths & Science) at C/4 Grade or above. In order to be considered for this position, you must be aged 17 or older at point of application for health and safety reasons.
