Graduate Data Analyst – Financial & Legal Data Modelling

We’re working exclusively with a high-performing boutique analytics consultancy that supports legal teams in major commercial disputes. They’re now hiring a Graduate Data Analyst to join their expert team and play a key role in quantifying financial losses, analysing large datasets, and helping deliver evidence-based reports for high-profile cases.
This is a unique opportunity for a numerically gifted graduate to launch their career in an intellectually stimulating and genuinely commercial role. Combining elements of data science, statistical modelling, and financial analytics.
🧠 What you’ll be working on:
* Reviewing incomplete, inconsistent datasets and making assumptions to fill data gaps
* Preparing clear, auditable Excel-based reports to support financial claims
* Writing compelling client-facing reports that communicate your analysis effectively
* Collaborating with external parties including law firms, suppliers, and data providers
* Using Excel, Word and statistical tools to deliver high-quality work under time pressure
✅ Ideal candidate profile:
* Recent graduate (or final-year student) with a 2:1 or above in a quantitative degree
* Strong academic track record – target universities include Warwick (MORSE), Imperial, Kings College, LSE, Oxford, or Cambridge
* Exceptional numerical skills and strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working with incomplete or messy data
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (logical functions, pivot tables, lookups etc.)
* Bonus: exposure to Python, R, or other statistical tools
🔎 Interview process:
* Stage 1: 10-minute intro interview with the team
* Stage 2: In-person 2-hour interview with a case study and presentation
* Interviews will begin in early July, with a preference for candidates who can start immediately
💼 The offer:
* Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
* Full-time, office-based role in Central London
* Immediate start preferred (but not essential for strong candidates)
