Job description
Working as an Occupational Therapist, you will providing an effective service to older people and adults with a physical and/or sensory impairment and their carers in North Somerset.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assessing the occupational therapy needs of service users to develop a proportionate programme of interventions to meet their needs.
* Managing a caseload of service users with a variety of clinical needs with appropriate supervision from Senior Occupational Therapist.
* Providing support and advice to identified groups or individuals as detailed within the assessment framework.
* Providing equipment or minor adaptations to address identified need within the agreed limits.
* Carrying out duty on a rota basis, responding to referrals, enquiries and emergencies in a timely way.
* Taking a lead role in developing a range of interventions with clear outcomes within the remit of the Weston Integrated Care Team.
Requirements:
* Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registered as an Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professionals Council.
* Knowledge and understanding of assistive equipment/aids including Telecare.
* Knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to Occupational Therapy in health and social care settings.
* Ability to work well under pressure
