The home provides a safe, supportive, and person-centred environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.</p><p>The Registered Manager is seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Home Manager to join their leadership team and help maintain the highest standards of care for all residents.</p><p>As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring outstanding care delivery and regulatory compliance. You will provide leadership and support to the care team while promoting a positive culture focused on resident wellbeing.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager looking to progress their career within a specialist dementia care setting.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support the Registered Manager in the effective management of the home.</li><li>Lead, motivate, and develop the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations and relevant legislation.</li><li>Monitor and maintain high standards of care, safety, and documentation.</li><li>Assist with staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management.</li><li>Support care planning, risk assessments, and resident reviews.</li><li>Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.</li><li>Act as the manager in the Registered Managers absence.</li><li>Promote a culture of dignity, respect, independence, and choice for all residents.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>We are looking for a caring and dedicated professional who has:</p><ul><li>Previous experience in a senior role within a residential care setting.</li><li>Experience supporting individuals living with dementia.</li><li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li><li>Good understanding of CIW regulations and best practice in social care.</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational abilities.</li><li>A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.</li><li>Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (essential).</li><li>Level 4 or 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one (desirable).</li></ul><p>If you are passionate about dementia care and have the leadership skills to help drive excellence within a small residential home, we would love to hear from you.</p></div>
