Associate Professor in Molecular &/or Cellular Cardiac Function
Are you an experienced and influential academic with the proven ability to carry out teaching and research in cardiac function at molecular and/or cellular levels? Do you have an excellent research track record, proven success in obtaining funding, and the vision and drive to tackle new challenges? Are you passionate about delivering world-leading research and an exceptional student experience?
As an Associate Professor, you will conduct research, teaching, and management within the school, faculty, and university, contributing to academic leadership in the field of molecular and cellular aspects of heart function.
You will collaborate with members of our Cardiovascular and Exercise Sciences research community. The mission of this research pillar is to integrate fundamental, clinical, and population-focused research on heart function, neuromuscular, and physical activity to provide novel insights into human health and generate both local and global impact. This role is ideal for researchers with a proven record in studying the fundamental mechanisms of cardiac function in health and disease, forming the foundation of our mission. As a molecular or cellular researcher, you will also develop close ties with the membrane biology cohort in Biomedical Sciences, The Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology, and the Biodiscovery teams utilizing the upcoming Cheney Centre.
