About the role
University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) in Design for Construction. The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world-leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, consistent with the school's vision and mission. This role is available until 31 August initially.
About you (key requirements)
The candidate should have a PhD or equivalent relevant to construction or related disciplines, with broad and high-level knowledge in the subject area. They should have a proven track record of teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, including designing and managing modules, preparing course guides, delivering lectures and seminars, setting assessments, and developing interdisciplinary teaching materials. Knowledge of relevant professional practice or academic research, experience in research-led teaching, leadership, and fostering a positive supervision environment are essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work harmoniously with staff and students from diverse backgrounds, and possess excellent stakeholder liaison and public engagement skills.
