Sling Money is an Avian Labs, Inc. product, created by builders and engineers from Monzo, Square, Cash App, etc About the Role We’re looking for a Contract Copywriter to help us cut through the noise. Our product is simple to use, but explaining how it works can get complicated. We need someone who can make the complex feel human, approachable, and maybe even delightful. You’ll work closely with our talented team to audit, rework, and refresh all of our user-facing copy from the in-app experience and onboarding flows to the App Store, website, FAQs, and more. Key Responsibilities Conduct a full copy audit across our user touchpoints app, App Store, website, FAQ, etc. Rewrite, refine, and simplify copy to make sure users always feel informed, confident, and in control Develop a clear, consistent tone of voice that reflects our brand: smart, friendly, and never condescending Collaborate with product and design teams to shape the UX with words that guide, not confuse Help us articulate why Sling is the best way to send money globally, without making people feel like they need a degree in finance About You Proven experience writing for B2C tech brands, especially in fintech, crypto, or any product that needs a bit of decoding A strong editorial eye and the ability to write clearly, concisely, and humanely Experience leading or contributing to copy audits, tone of voice development, or UX writing projects The ability to put yourself in the shoes of the everyday user Comfortable working independently and managing your own workflow Bonus Points Experience working with early-stage startups Familiarity with the broader blockchain ecosystem (you don’t need to be an expert) Strong opinions on em dashes, microcopy, and plain language
