With your experience of understanding professional advice and report writing, you will guide lead your team to ensure EHC plans accurately reflect the needs of our children and young people, and the special education provision that will support them to achieve their ambitions and goals. You will make sure ensure that EHC plans are of high quality by applying our quality assurance processes and using a child-centred approach in all that you do. Using your skills in communication and your person-centred approach to casework, you will ensure the focus is always on the child and young person and everyone understands the processes and the decisions made. You will be experienced in adhering to statutory and locally derived timescales and procedures, and will be able to use data to inform best practice. You will lead with energy and vision, embracing change as a catalyst for innovation, while fostering a collaborative team culture where everyone feels empowered to contribute and grow. We will match your commitment to us with opportunities to grow and develop your knowledge and experience in SEND as well as other rewarding career progression routes. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the communities we serve. To be part of this dynamic team and to play your part in our continued journey to delivering improved outcomes for Birmingham’s children, young people and their families, please consider whether your skills and experience can further strengthen the service.
