Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team on an initial short-term basis, with a strong likelihood of extension or permanent opportunity for the right individual. Working closely with the Finance Director, Finance Manager and Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations across several divisions. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility and excellent visibility across the business.Key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with management accounts preparation
2. Maintaining and reconciling cashbooks
3. Supporting VAT and CIS returns
4. Processing and reconciling house salepletions from solicitors
5. Working with multiple divisional accounts
6. Supporting month-end duties and general finance tasks as required
The role offers a hybrid working pattern with two days working from home and three days on-site.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Previous experience in an assistant management accounting or similar finance role
8. Strong general accounting knowledge and practical experience
9. Exposure to VAT and/or CIS returns (advantageous but not essential)
10. AAT qualification or working towards (beneficial)
11. A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to provide stability to the team
Professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are not required for this role.
