Marketing Assistant/Lead Generation – Birmingham – £25,000–£29,000
A Birmingham-based social media agency is looking for a Marketing and Lead Generation Assistant to work closely with senior leadership and support business growth, new client acquisition, and brand visibility.
This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to a proactive and organised individual with a strong interest in sales, marketing, and agency growth. You’ll support lead management, outreach activity, content creation, and pitch preparation, while gaining exposure to senior decision-making and commercial strategy within a growing agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organise and manage inbound and outbound sales leads, maintaining accurate trackers and CRM documents
2. Research prospective clients, brands, industries, and new market opportunities
3. Support follow-ups, proposals, and pipeline management
4. Manage diaries, meetings, and preparation for client pitches
5. Take notes, track actions, and ensure follow-ups are completed
6. Create and schedule LinkedIn and social content to support agency growth and personal branding
7. Write and refine outreach messages across email, LinkedIn, and direct messaging
8. Contribute ideas to improve outbound strategies and stand out in competitive markets
9. Create and adapt pitch decks using Canva, ensuring presentations are on-brand and commercially strong
10. Support social media and influencer-related activity, turning opportunities into timely content
11. Maintain strong organisation across outreach, bookings, deadlines, and documentation
Requirements
12. A confident, proactive self-starter with strong organisational skills
13. Comfortable supporting sales activity, outreach, and new business conversations
14. Strong written communication skills, particularly for short-form outreach and social content
15. Experience in a marketing, social media, influencer, or agency environment
16. Confident using Canva, CapCut, and social scheduling tools
17. Strong attention to detail across tracking, budgets, and deadlines
18. High energy, commercially minded, and keen to grow a long-term career in sales or marketing
